Short answer: no. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code won't affect it.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.
What's the bonus amount?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
$5,000 to $9,999 adds $1,000.

If the system rejects it, don't panic. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They handle this regularly.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
You need to trade a certain volume.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
Your deposit is yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
Something useful to understand: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
